The Felt Road is honored to partner with s'gʷi gʷi ʔ altxʷ: House of Welcome for installations, community events, a presentation series, and workshops, focused on Central Asian Traditional Nomadic Feltmaking. These collaborative and exploratory events, guided by Janice Arnold and The Felt Road team, honor Indigenous felting traditions. They not only offer a solid foundation for beginning to understand this ancient art form but also provide an introduction on how to start exploring it as an expressive and functional material.
This program is partially funded by an Inspire Olympia grant in partnership with s'gʷi gʷi ʔ altxʷ: House of Welcome, The Evergreen State College Campus, Olympia, WA.
